We have a complement of qualified Early Childhood Educators and educational assistants. Our teachers are trained in facilitating children’s learning through their individual needs by providing developmentally appropriate activities and projects that focus on opportunities for learning through educational programs, literature and exploration of play.
Kids Come First staff is screened prior to hiring and must submit the following information:
- Current references
- Up to Date health assessment / immunization record
- Negative result (clear response) for Volunteer/Application Screening Request Form (criminal reference check)
- All Early Childhood Educators must submit credentials from a recognized college or University as required under the Day Nurseries Act OR Letter of Equivelency from the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario
- All Early Childhood Educators must submit hold a current certificate of registration, in good standing, issued under the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007
Annual Training for staff includes:
- First-aid and CPR training
- Professional development training (internal and external training)
- Annual Policy review
